Applications

A revolution in connectivity

The biggest driver of new applications for the Ocean seaplanes is in increasing connectivity.  They achieve this by multiplying access points and destinations, with double the range in relation to conventional seaplanes to bring four times the area within reach in one flight and with wing-folded water-taxiing multiplying usable coastal facilities by a further factor of five.  Combined with doubled wave-height capability allowing reliable open-water operations and their use as landplanes to and from inland airfields, the Ocean seaplanes wholly revolutionise connectivity.  They allow travellers to switch away from inconvenient from airfields and dependency on multiple connections and supporting secondary transports, to travel quicker and easier to exactly where they want to go.  The greater efficiency and improved through-life economics then make that break-through in connectivity affordable to a much greater proportion of the world's populations.

Connectivity
  • Remote and coastal homes to the hearts of capital cities (the majority being waterside)

  • Mainland business jet hubs direct to the remotest islands and waterside resorts

  • Quickest remote access to yachts and mega yachts, allowing them to be kept in the most valued cruising territories

  • Universal services to islands too small and coastlines too mountainous for airfields

  • Silent and zero-emission operations in harbours where social and other pressures block

  • Connecting distributed island nation populations to international aviation hubs

  • Lakeland, river and coastal taxi, charter and utility

  • Flying city-bound fisherman to choice rivers and sporting lodges

  • Flightseeing and exploration

  • Coastal and offshore industry support and personnel transfer

  • Transfer between vessel, shore and inland

  • Inland airfields to where friends and all elements of a family head for a summer weekend or holiday

  • From anywhere to everywhere that equivalent landplanes go

Coastguard and public service

In addition to transport roles, the Ocean seaplanes will improve the economics, diversify and increase the effect of services including:

  • Inshore and offshore Search & Rescue

  • Disaster relief

  • Medivac

  • Coastguard and border policing including monitoring, detection and interdiction

  • Fire-fighting with high-rate water-scooping

  • Ship activity policing including discharging and commercial fishing

  • Offshore environmental monitoring

  • Remote community services
